Along with Coach Scott’s military and corporate success, Co-Founder of the new APSi Business Group, Daron Sellars brings another powerhouse source of expertise in corporate sales, entrepreneurial business development, recruiting, and extensive host of project expertise. Daron has over 25 years of experience working with corporate executives and leading business resource outsourcing initiatives on projects totaling over $50mm in budget spend. Daron is the current President of the National Association of Black Professional Athletes and previous Chairman of the Young Black Elected Official Association.
Aside from the two owners, APSi now has a stacked and seasoned senior management team with over 60 years of combined experience delivering project solutions for clients totaling over $200 mm. The entire APSi team consist of Senior Executives, Program Managers, Recruiting Experts, Former NFL Motivational Coach, College Coaches, Life and Career Coaching Personnel and a team of Consultants nationwide ready to assist with your project needs.
Original APSi Launch
After completing a long military career and moving on to being part of a Leadership Team that built a $55M staffing agency in Maryland. It was then when Scott was struck by the entrepreneur bug himself and created APSi as a Project Management and Workforce Training Agency in Charlotte, NC.
During one of the greatest recessions in US history, APSi develops one of the first federally funded workforce development programs that focused on Fiber Optic Certification, Employment Skills Development, Innovative Curriculum Design, Community Outreach, and Career Coaching Services to help get Americans back to work. This Workforce Development Program--along with other professional development courses changed the lives of over 600 students nationwide helping at-risk youth, military vets, and dislocated workers find sustainable employment in a high demand markets.
While experiencing success as a leader in workfore solutions, APSi began to pivot the business toward consulting/project management utilizing the certified students from its training programs to fill in the skills gap in call centers, telecom, IT, construction and wireless projects. APSi then partnered with Retired NFL All-Pro Mike Minter and Minter Consulting to focus on technology project with commercial and municipalities throughout the region. As a result of APSi's vast network of influential leader, it was awarded (with Minter Consulting and JD Tek Inc.) a national installation contract with the Department of Defense to install DAS/CCTV systems throughout over 65 military bases nationwide.
By this time we were a well-known name within the workforce, training, and consulting industry. The Fiber Optic Broadband Program was changing lives, impacting the MINDSET of dislocated employees and military veterans while providing career maps for our clients in high demand markets. Founder Coach Scott Coulter was recognized by Business Leader Magazine as the Business Leader of The Year for his innovative program, community outreach, and contribution to communities throughout the United States.
Building on Excellence
2014 was a important to the APSi business growth. We utilized the training, consulting and project management success to incorporate a true consultancy within the business with a demand high for program/project management and personnel acquisition as a client need. APSi added new partnerships and began to focus on developing a new division that improves processes, delivers leadership training, and organizational development tools to its clients in government, IT/telecom, and construction markets.
In 2016, APSi was introduced to a Mentor Protege' program working with senior veteran-owned government contracting firms that assist Service Disabled/Veteran Owned/Small Businesses position and obtain government contracts. Through this program, APSi will identify resources, deliver workforce management solutions, build collaborative teams, provide staff augmentation, and training/coaching services on short and long-term contracts with state and federal agencies around the world.
Adding New Services
Over the last 10 years, Coach Scott and the APSi Team has evolved as a premier provider of workforce services, organizational development consulting and training solutions. This year, the company has added more value for its clients by introducing new business groups, a new brand, updated website and an entire host of value added business solutions to include business coaching, process improvement, career/life skills (Power Skills) development and more... APSI has become a more experienced and value added turn-key service provider in commercial and government markets.
In the 4th Quarter of 2018, APSi relaunched with new leadership team members and additional value added services to its customer catalog. Clients will be introduced to the Vertex Business Accelerator, Managed Services specific for commercial and government clients. APSi will also introduce Daron Sellars as part of the ownership team, Mike Minter and Jim Geter as part of the new leadership advisory board, and much more. This re-launch is based upon new opportunities, collaborative ventures in expanding markets and services needs from and overwhelming client base.
